Tomato meal maker curry

Hello friends... Today I want to introduce you a very simple curry with Soya chunks (meal maker). Yes, It is very good for health and rich in proteins. Dear friends try to incorporate Soya in your regular meal. So with that I want to show you a very simple basic curry with Soya chunks by using some tomatoes and onions. Here, I am cooking this simple recipe in very easy manner without using any masalas. It really tastes good by cooking in a simple, plain  and with regular kitchen ingredients.

So...Dear friends let's start how to make this......

Ingredients:

  • Tomatoes - 1/4 kg Cut in to medium size pieces
  • Onions - 2 Finely chopped
  • Green chilies - 2 finely chopped
  • Soya chunks (Meal maker) - 50 gms
  • Mustard seeds - 1/2 spoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 spoon
  • Urad dal - 1/2 spoon
  • Oil - 3 spoons
  • Curry leaves - 2 leaflets
  • Coriander - 2 spoons Finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 spoon
  • Salt - 1 or 2 spoons
  • Chili powder - 1 or 2 spoons
Procedure:

As we had all the ingredients now let us know the process involved in cooking it...

 STEP 1:

Place a pan on stove and when the pan is hot enough add some oil that is up to 3 spoons.. Then for the purpose of  tempering add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and urad dal and later add finely chopped onions. Just we are going to cook this still it is slightly transparent. After 2 minutes you can see that the onions are slightly transparent. For this curry the onions need not be golden in color just transparent is perfect. Add  turmeric powder, curry leaves and mix it well.

STEP 2:

Now, in this we are  adding tomatoes which are cut in to medium size and we are going to cook this for another 2-3 minutes.

STEP 3:

In-spite of adding the soya chunks directly... Here what I did is, I took Soya granules and soaked them in water if you want you can use hot water and soak it and use it immediately. And now add soya granules which are soaked in water , squeeze out the water from them before adding. If you want you can put some moisture also.

STEP 4:

We are almost in the final step. Depending upon your spiciness you can add the spices. Since I have added some chopped green chili's, now I am adding some extra chili powder and salt enough to your taste and mix it nicely and then leave on low flame for 5 more minutes until the entire tomatoes and meal maker gets cooked.

STEP 5:

Finally, add  fresh finely chopped coriander leaves which gives awesome flavor to your curry.

Our Tomato meal maker curry is ready to serve....

This soya curry will be excellent for rice and even more better for chapati , polka etc...
